The Collection, the tightly-knit North Carolina-based indie-pop sextet founded by frontman David Wimbish, have inspired listeners with their raucous, folk-based indie-pop sound, resulting in an unabashed positivity and participatory spirit of shared celebration, creating an almost congregational connection with their audience. The fan base grew over three independently-released albums -- 2014's Ars Moriendi, 2017's Listen To The River, and 2018's Entropy -- along with well-deserved praise from American Songwriter, Glide, Parade and NPR Tiny Desk Judges’ Picks. Their 2023 release, Little Deaths, saw the band expand their sonic pallet pushing just up to the point of cacophony while never losing the focus on Wimbish's unique voice and the vast emotional depth of his lyrics.
In September 2023, the band hosted their own music festival, Soil & Sky, on 32 acres of land in rural North Carolina and now joins our festival as Party Stage headliners.
