festival volunteers welcome

The Pleasantville Music Festival is gathering names for volunteers!
Scroll over the following categories for descriptions and requirements:

General

GENERAL

General Volunteers work inside or outside Festival gates, directing parking, wrist-banding guests, staffing the info booth, setting up vendors, checking coolers, supervising Tent City, and more.

|

Hospitality

HOSPITALITY

Hospitality volunteers work backstage, preparing dressing rooms, running errands for artists, working with caterers, and straightening up. Shifts include Friday setup and evening load-out.

|

Security

SECURITY

Security volunteers help keep the Festival secure by controlling limited-access areas and enforcing Festival rules throughout the grounds. Shifts include work both inside and outside Festival gates.

|

Stage

STAGE CREW

Stage Crew volunteers work hard, loading cases, lifting equipment, and moving as a team. Music or theater crew experience a plus. Energy a must. Shifts include Friday load-in and late Saturday load-out.

|

Zero-Waste

ZERO WASTE

Zero Waste volunteers help reduce the environmental impact of the Festival by helping guests and performers sort their waste. Shifts include Saturday morning setup and evening load-out.

1ST STEP: FILL OUT THIS FORM

If you’re interested in volunteering, complete the Volunteer Info Form below, even if you’ve volunteered before. If you’re volunteering with a group or family, we need each member to complete their own form. One form per person per year.

Filling in the form allows us to know your interests, gather appropriate information, and communicate with you about your areas of interest. While filling in the form is not a guarantee that you will get the position of your choice, it is a first step.

2ND STEP: WE’LL CONTACT YOU

As we get closer to the festival date, you will receive an email with further information regarding assignments and time slots. For some departments, that email will include a link allowing you to sign up for the jobs and time slots that are available. Please note that Pleasantville residents will receive this link first. For other departments, you will receive an email from your Department Coordinator advising you of the next steps.

Once all slots are full, we will confirm your assignment and make arrangements for t-shirts, bracelets, and volunteer meetings.

The fine print

Volunteers may be adults or students 14 and older, although student slots are limited. With a few exceptions, shifts typically range from 2 1/2 to 4 hours, and some categories require skills and/or a commitment outside Festival hours. All volunteers must pre-register. Filling in a form and/or volunteering for a previous Festival does not guarantee a slot in this year's Festival.

Please understand that we cannot accommodate "last-minute tag-along" volunteers of any age on the day of the event.
