Way Behind The Sun has performed traditional and original country music in the Hudson Valley and beyond since 2018. The duo features husband and wife Tyler and Virginia Ronconi. Tyler is originally from New Rochelle but the two now reside in Hopewell Junction. They first met in 2015 thanks to their mutual love of music and have been playing together ever since. Their mission is to restore the term "country music" to its true meaning, while making the classic sounds accessible to audiences of all ages. The two guitarists/singers also serve as songwriters. Tyler describes his originals as "a passionate and tenacious expression of real life juxtaposed with abstract feelings." For her songs, Virginia wants audiences to "feel like they just lost their lover and stepped into a true Texas honky tonk."
