In a time when music was becoming increasingly segregated, Living Colour tore down the walls. Their debut album, 1988’s Vivid, took MTV by storm, thanks to their multiple-Grammy-winning Cult of Personality, as well as the fun Glamour Boys and the heartfelt Open Letter to a Landlord. Their vocals, skills, and style caught the eye of Mick Jagger, who helped them land a record deal, and their success paved the way for others who refuse to fit a mold. Today, the band continues to break down musical boxes, with their forthcoming album, Shade. We are glad to welcome them to our Main Stage.
